9 Years, with one employer!!! immmm..
If the employer is good it is ok, what if not?
I don’t know how many of our most productive life time is going to be stagnated because of this GC wait.

I got my approval y'day from TSC. This marks the end of GC journey. Been with same employer since Aug 1999 ( 9 Long years...........).

My MTR was approved almost 3 months ago and my attorney received the MTR approval notice.
The decision was that both mine and my wife's I-485's are reopened.
But its been almost 3 months and online status on USCIS website has not changed yet......
Does anyone noticed the same situtation with their MTR approval and no online status change?

Okay, I applied for an H1 transfer late June 2006 on my own. Started at new job after receipt. Late August went on maternity leave. Came back to work in December. During maternity leave, my application was sent back due to wrong fee and no LCA (I didn't use a lawyer and was given somewhat bad advice.) By the time I did a re-application for transfer it was April 2007 (with the help of lawyers, this time). My H1 expired (6 years) near the end of June. But I was told I was okay as long as I was pending. Mid-July got a request for evidence with a date of September 20th being the latest date I can send in the evidence...pay stubs, tax returns, etc.
1. Am I currently out of status or okay because of the RFE?
2. If I apply for F-1 status now (thinking of a second Masters or PhD) will I need to send in the evidence for the H1B before that or will that not matter? It will take me a while to get all of the evidence, but I don't have time to wait in regards to getting the F-1 for school this Fall.
My lawyers suggested leaving the country, but I am fearful of that? Any suggestions, answers, advice?

Can we have the scanned copy of this letter posted on IV's homepage? Either replace the image for Sept 18th rally or put it above it so that its the first thing people see on the homepage. After the campaign is over we can change it back to what it was.

EAD is only required if you want to work and you don't have any other document which will allow you to work (e.g. a valid un-expired H1)

My I-140/I-485 are pending. I had also applied for my EAD card which I received promptly. The EAD card will expire in October, 2008. You know, at least until the I-140 gets approved, I don't need the EAD card. Can I just let it expire and renew it when I need it? Or will it be a separate application when I try to renew an expired EAD.

I need some serious help with my D50 equipment. I have no experience at all with SLR cameras, and have recently bought a bundle consisting of a Nikon D50 and a Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S Dxlens. Now I am interested in buying another lens (The Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 AF Zoom Lens) in hope that these two lenses would suit my needs in amateur photography. I intend to photo landscapes, portraits and some ''macro'' (flowers and some insects). So, I would like to know if these lenses are an acceptable choice, having in mind that I can't afford to buy some expensive lenses, as my average monthly salary almost amounts to the price of these cheap ones. I had applied for a ITIN for my parents about 4 years ago and I was able to claim them as dependents since they stayed in US for more than 90 days and additionally I was supporting their welfare and expenses. IRS did accept my application, but I can do this only in the year they are physically here.
Check Pub 501 page 14 onwards....the key is you need an ITIN # for them....also see page 19, where it says non-resident parents can apply for ITIN, if not eligible for SSN
I have couple of friends who have claimed like this....
if this is the first time you are applying, then you will need to file a paper copy of your taxes and send to IRS Phily and then they will process your taxes for next year....

short answer...You are the chosen one you can do what ever you want, while USCIS will do what they think is right...IMHO plenty of legal trouble for you, your company and your lawyer. While you are at it why not ask companies C,D&E to sponsor parallel applications for you, the more the merrier....i think you are a troll...Hardworking, law abiding immigrats get a bad rap because of people like you.

Once you complete the e-filing, the online system will generate a PDF which has the instructions on how/whom to send the documents. You also need to attach a copy of the PDF while sending the docs.
I sent the docs thru USPS, with delivery confirmation.

I am not sure about what went wrong with H1/H4 situation. But if you are worried about filing your 485 then you can go ahead with it and later you can add your spouse to your 485 application. Try to get your spouse back ASAP.

Has your namecheck cleared? Mine took 18 months to clear. I am current, too, but no movement on I-485. I am thinking if there is no news by 10/15, I am going to start calling around.
