Yay.
I am buying my music from where it is cheapest. If Apple wants me to buy from them, they know what they need to do.

Here in the Netherlands we have Sinterklaas, he comes to us first by steamship, and then on a white horse. It is that important that the TV shows him arriving direct, plus tens of thousands are on the quayside.
Gifts are given on the 5th December
Yeah. Every child grows up with Sinterklaas. You can see it as Santa, only this one comes from Spain by boat.(according to the old tradition:D). Most children stop believing in the real existence of Sinterklaas at the age of 9 or 10. But it's always a lot of fun, though.
Sinterklaas comes with a lot of special candy as well. Pepernoten (literally translated it means Peppernuts) and chocolate letters.
Oh, I almost forgot. ontopic:
I really do wish to get my SSD inside my iMac 27" mid-2010 model. That's the only thing. I don't really dare to do it myself, so I still need to find a way.

No where on the sites does it mention 64-bit capabilities, unless i'm missing it. Can 64-bit be safely assumed?
Yeah thats what I was thinking.. this may make or break my decision to get a macbook pro over imac..

Staff should have intervened, and taken the victim to safety. This would have prevented the second episode, which lead to victim fitting.
Looks like serious professional failures there. There should have been someone who is first-aid trained there to deal with the casualty fitting.
I'd say that all present staff undergo mandatory retraining.
From McD:
We strongly condemn the videotaped assault in one of our Baltimore franchised restaurants.
There's no room for violence under the Golden Arches.
Appropriate action regarding other employees will take place as warranted.
Action has been taken, and the crew member who made the video is no longer employed by this organization.
First and foremost, our thoughts are with the victim during this time.
The incident in Baltimore is sad and reprehensible. We are doing everything possible to make sure the right thing will be done.
We are shocked by the video from a Baltimore restaurant showing an assault. This incident is unacceptable, disturbing and troubling.
We are aware of the incident in Baltimore and are working with local police in their criminal investigation.

Will an apple store employee tell me if I harass them all day or bribe them with monies? Or don't they know either?
They really do not know so you can give 'me a break and start bugging them about stock tomorrow instead (assuming it's released as rumored)

Phone cases are for wimps anyway :D
I still think it's the same size after staring at the photos. Light/white objects always look bigger than they are compared to black. Just look at a while aluminium mountain bike frame compared to a black one, they always look fatter.

It's too late for Microsoft - they are just riding Apple's coattails now, in a desperate attempt to create something that can compete with iTunes+iPod...but thats all it is, a desperate attempt
Remember MS has a big pile of cash for marketing and windows install base is also huge. So this product will probably succeed in a way or another.
Is it gonna beat iPod? Who knows, but it will be hard.

Ahhh.... Google bought that. And given Android is based on open source, don't you think your argument on OSX is rather weak?
Apple bought OS X too. :D
I'm arguing that both were massive undertakings by both parties. My OS X example was tainted with sarcasm if you didn't catch the little  there.
Both OS X and Chrome OS (and Android, and iOS) borrow heavily from others, either through acquisitions or from the open source community. To claim Google is any inferior here is just trying to stir the pot, especially calling the poster Troll, that is just insulting and uncalled for.
Both companies deserve props from providing the software they do, neither deserves scorn that some posters here like to dish out.
ChromeOS has pieces of Linux...I'll give you that. But Google didn't do much...
Android is Linux. They didn't make that either.
So what ? OS X is Mach/XNU, Apple didn't make that. It's also a GNU/Berkeley userland, Apple didn't make that either. Again guys, drop the non-sense competition, this thread is about a release of OS X, not some type of Google bashing contest.

It came out yesterday. Not a couple of hours ago. I stream Sirius radio on the weekdays at work and I notice a difference in the battery usage.

I'm using the default Folding@home client from standford's site. FahMon and F@H WUdget report the core as Gromacs SMP, and it is using both cores. I noticed with activity monitor that it has spawned 4 threads each using around 45-50% CPU which is a bit odd as it is only a dual core machine with no HT. The PPD is at around 1080 and it is going at 1.66x minimum speed. What do you think?
That seems about right for a 2 core system.
As for the 4 process I think thats because the code was written to be used on 4 cores. This is how it should run on 2 cores. Unless they changed it since back when I first was folding. I have lost touch with the current stuff. :p

its about time apple is forced to compete with others for the best device again
agreed. We haven't seen any ipod updates in a long, long time. The shuffle is over a year old, the nano is approaching a year, and even the 5G is no spring chicken any more. I certainly don't want to see MS cut too much in to apple's marketshare, but if a little competition means pushing apple a little more, that sounds good to me.

Apple, we all know the mouse is dead... stop wasting time coding mac apps to look like iPad apps and coding mac os to operate like iOS, just do the obvious: ditch the mac platform all together! Make larger iOS devices that allow for the manipulation of iOS apps in windowed form and there you go, desktop operating environment with iOS.

Samsung's smartest course of action probably would have been to work with whatever terms Apple had been offering before legal action ensued.
You are assuming Apple offered them any terms.
Apple's suit is largely around Samsung copying Apple's product appearances in many ways. What you are assuming is like Rolls Royce saying to GM, "Your new car design looks just like a Rolls Royce in so many ways a customer can't tell them apart. However if you'll give us "X" amount of money, We'll let you copy us."

The strangest part for me is, that his white iPhone is made of plastic instead of glass - maybe he should buy it at the Apple Store and not on the streets, Mr. "I can measure the thickness by hand, but not detect that it's fricken glass."
